Great Power Smoothies

Power smoothies are a great provider of energy and nutrients required for your day. Power smoothies are rich in antioxidants and can be specified to the foods you like to eat.  Bright foods contains antioxidants so chose bright foods you like.  Chia and flax seeds are high in antioxidants but also contain fat so be sure to use them in moderation. These are not my own smoothies but is a list of power smoothies from vitamix and fitness magazine to try!


Frambozenbavarois

Beet Strawberry Cranberry Smoothie- beet, strawberries, cranberries and add ice!

Mango Carrot Smoothie- 

  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1.5 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • 3/4 cup fresh mango
  • 5 ice cubes

Banana Blueberry Orange- banana, blueberries, orange and add ice!

Purple Power Smoothie- 

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sweet cherries, pitted (frozen, if desired)
  • 1/2 cup raspberries (frozen, if desired)
  • 1/2 cup blueberries (frozen, if desired)
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 serving unsweetened vanilla whey protein powder (Pasternak prefers Source Organic Whey)
  • 5 cashews

Banana Raspberry Green Smoothie- Almond milk, raspberries, bananas and ice!

  • 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond beverage (such as Silk)
  • 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 vanilla bean, split and pulp scraped out with a knife
  • 6 packets monk fruit extract (such as Monk Fruit in the Raw)
  • 1 six-ounce container fat-free Greek yogurt (such as Fage 0%)
  • 1 fresh egg white
  • 1 cup crushed or small cubes of ice

Strawberry Fig Smoothie- Granola, strawberries, fig and ice!

Kale Cucumber Pear Smoothie- 

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 cup cucumber
  • 1 cup pear
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 serving unsweetened vanilla whey protein powder (Pasternak prefers Source Organic Whey)
  • 5 raw cashews

Strawberry Fig Smoothie- Granola, strawberries, fig and ice!

Berry Delicious Smoothie- Strawberries, blueberries, cranberries, banana, pineapple and ice!
